A Emigração cabo-verdiana para o Luxemburgo
According to studies on the subject, the first wave of Cape Verdean emigrants arrived in Luxembourg in the 1960s, more precisely in 1960, with the movement of Cape Verdean emigrants from southwestern France, namely from the Moselle/Grand Est region, to Luxembourg with
the aim of working in the mines in southeastern Luxembourg.
Most of these emigrants were destined for construction and public works.
It is said that many children arrived between 1974 and 1975 for family reunification.

The geographical distribution was in the center , Luxembourg City and Ettelbruck and in the South, Esch-sur-Alzette.
After independence, the majority of emigrants who arrived in Luxembourg came from Portugal, also from Rotterdam/Netherlands and France.
